Maximum Benefit:

Weekly Maximum (55% of insurable earnings)

 

 

$457 for new claims in 2010  ($447 in 2009) [3]

 

EI Benefit Repayment * (EI “clawback”)

30% repayment of EI (regular) benefits that exceed threshold amount

 

 

$52,875 net taxable income (2009 tax year) [4]

$54,000 net taxable income (2010 tax year) [5]

Maximum Allowable Earnings if working while on claim. Applies now to all EI Regions.

 

  • Up to $183 for new claims in 2010 (40% of individual weekly EI benefit rate) [6]
